*This timetable and route is valid from 4th September 2023*

There are several changes to the route, in part due to the forthcoming closure of Old Craighall Road and these are explained below.

Longniddry / Port Seton -
The route will no longer use Dean Road in Longniddry due to long standing safety concerns. It will now continue along the A198 from Longniddry to the Meadowmill roundabout and then continue to the roundabout at the end of Alder Road.
Service 111 will then use Alder Road and Long Craigs before rejoining the current route at Links Road in Port Seton. This will be a permanent change to the route and will provide a regular service to residents in the area.

Stoneybank -
Service 111 will return to the original route of Eskview Terrace then Monktonhall Terrace and will no longer serve Clayknowes Road, Whitehill Farm Road or Stoneybank Cresecent. This is due to a significant drop in passenger use since changes were made to other bus services in May, and also to reduce journey times through Stoneybank.

Old Craighall, Millerhill. Newton Village & Danderhall -
Due to the closure of Old Craighall Road, for the planned 12 weeks, Service 111 will be unable to serve these villages. A temporary alternative route '151 - Millerhill to Musselburgh' will provide a link to Musselburgh, and Fort Kinnaird, during the road closure. Lothian Buses Service 33 provides a link between Millerhill, Danderhall and the Royal Infirmary

Fort Kinnaird -
During the closure of Old Craighall Road all Service 111 journeys will be diverted via, and will serve, Fort Kinnaird. Depending on passenger use we intend that Service 111 will continue to serve Fort Kinnaird, at least between 0900 and 1730, once Old Craighall Road reopens.

Fares and Multi-Journey tickets

There are multi-journey tickets available in paper form which can be bought on bus or mobile tickets on our myTrip app for Adults, NHS Staff* & Research Centre Staff and are available for use in our Urban Zone, Urban/Rural North Zones, Rural South Zone or across All Zones and priced accordingly.

Please be aware that all bus stops are 'tagged' within our ticketing system so for example an Urban Zone ticket will work between Musselburgh and Tranent, but not from Macmerry.
